Robert Johnson, a Vero Beach, Florida, business owner, operates Stealth Self Health fitness center. He has worked as a fitness industry professional since the mid-1980s, helping people get in shape and stay healthy. Although Robert Johnson now resides in Vero Beach, Florida, he went to the Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, Massachusetts, as a youth.
Originally conceived as a boys-only day school, the Noble and Greenough School first opened its doors in 1866. The institution began to accept students for boarding in 1922 and eventually opened its doors to girls in the mid-1970s. Today, Noble and Greenough School students follow the service-oriented tradition of the school’s founders. To graduate, every student is required to complete and document 80 hours of community service. Students work in partnership with local nonprofit organizations to better their community. In a typical year, students will serve more than 100 different organizations, the most popular of which are Community Servings, 826 Boston, and Cook’s Afterschool Program. Remarkably, most students choose to exceed the required 80 hours, allowing the school to contribute 20,000 service hours to the Dedham community each year. The Vero Beach Museum of Art was created in 1986 in the hope of encouraging art education and appreciation in the community. The small museum was originally known as the Center for the Arts. Today, it has more than doubled in size, and now features an outdoor sculpture park and a covered atrium. Through September 25 of 2016, 71 pieces from NASA’s collection will be featured in an exhibit titled Out of this World: The Art and Artists of NASA. Usually housed at the nearby Kennedy Space Center, NASA’s collection features paintings and photographs that capture the spirit of its mission. NASA partners with teams of artists to seek out space-centric art meant to inspire. |
