Robert Davis Johnson, Vero Beach, FL holds a bachelor of science from the University of New Hampshire Whittemore School of Business and Economics and a master of arts from the San Diego State University School of Public Health and Health Sciences, where he studied physiology. He developed a clinical practice at Scripps Clinic & Research Foundation, La Jolla, CA and eventually was appointed Director of the Preventive Medicine Center at Scripps. He has completed continuing education coursework through the Harvard University Graduate School Extension Program, Stanford University Department of Preventive Cardiology and Duke University Extension Program. Robert D. Johnson’s work at Stanford culminated in the Industry's highest Professional Certification of "Exercise Program Director" by The American College of Sports medicine (ACSM). His contributions at Harvard include serving as a consultant to Harvard Business School in the design and opening of the Shad Fitness Center, 1988 and later as Graduate Assistant to Dr. Douglas Powell and contributing to his book, "The Aging Intellect," Routledge, 2011 .
As an accomplished Exercise Physiologist and elite amateur athlete representing the USA in International competition, he provided a comprehensive scientific and experientially-based multi-sport coaching service as the proprietor of Yankiwi Sport, LLC, in Ponte Vedra Beach Beach, Florida and Christchurch, New Zealand. Over the course of his 37-year career, he has was commissioned to create, launch and direct the Duke Energy Corporation’s Corporate Fitness and Health Promotion Program, the first in the Energy Industry of multiple sites across North and South Carolina, the design, research and implementation of Duke University's "Live For Life" university-wide Health Promotion, Disease Prevention Program while with Johnson & Johnson, Inc. He served a year as a consultant to The Houstonian Institute, Houston, TX, including two personal clients, President George H.W. Bush and First Lady, Barbara Bush.
Mr. Johnson expanded his career with 15 years success in the medical device industry%2 specifically Interventional cardiology, radiology, and cardio-thoracic surgery device sales for Boston Scientific Corporation, Arterial Vascular Engineering and Medtronic, Inc. in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.
